Job Title: SharePoint Content Administrator

Duties: Summary

Your primary responsibility will be helping to build sites, pages and other content in a highly customized SharePoint 2013 intranet environment. As a SharePoint Specialist, you are responsible for taking design concepts and developing them into user interfaces (UI) using the UI best practice while following corporate brand guidance. You are able to quickly get up to speed on our unique SharePoint 2013 environment and use the available configuration options to create highly usable user interfaces and navigation. You demonstrate excellent creative skills and are able to clearly articulate, prototype and implement design ideas on time.

In this role you will:

 

 

Design and create prototypes and mock-ups including page layout and navigational elements.

Take those concepts and turn them into reality, by building subsites, pages, lists, libraries using a customized version of SharePoint 2013.

Support the UI experience through the creation of graphic elements, including the manipulation of photographs and vector images.

Follow brand design guidelines, best practices and standards.

Provide SharePoint consultation, guidance, and assistance to site owners, site administrators and users on proper site design, usage, content organization and management, and best practices.

Provide testing support as required.

 

Skills: What we are looking for…

 

 

SharePoint 2010 or 2013 experience. SharePoint Designer experience is an asset.

Web design experience with knowledge of UI design. CSS3, HTML5, JQuery and Javascript an asset.

 

 

Microsoft Office skills, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Excellent understanding of UI development for mobile and web, technology trends, and demonstrable design skills Experience in a global matrixed professional services organization is highly desired. The ability to deal effectively with ambiguity and continuous change is essential.

 

 

Excellent problem-solving skills, particularly with graphic and visual information Competency in Adobe Creative Suite applications (primarily Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Illustrator)

 

 

Up-to-date with the latest UI trends, techniques, and technologies Knowledge and understanding on a wide range of SharePoint capabilities Experience with web development A proactive self-starter, who is also self-motivated, creative, and resourceful Someone who can work without guidance, brings fresh and relevant ideas to the table, is committed to continuous process improvement, and can produce high-quality work in a demanding and deadline-driven environment Excellent verbal and written communication skills, highly-organized, and detail-oriented

 

 

Work environment

The ideal candidate will excel in working in both a virtual and a real-time corporate office environment and have the ability to focus within a sometimes chaotic and noisy environment. Candidate must be willing and able to occasionally participate in conference calls outside of standard working hours.

 

Reporting lines

The SharePoint Specialist will work in a highly collaborative virtual team and will report to the Stakeholder Engagement Senior Manager located in Toronto.
