Global Security Operations Centre helps defend and its clients from cyber-attack, through timely detection, investigation and remediation of potential threats.
The Managed Firewall Service Lead is responsible for operational delivery and support of managed Palo Alto Network:
Focusing on proactive monitoring, rapid response, and operational support Configuring Palo Alto firewalls and VPNs, identifying and resolving faults on managed security services, writing service and management system documentation, and keeping up-to-date with evolving security threats and new technologies.
Take direction from the Network Security Lead to provide operational support and network security support to all Member including:
Assisting in deployment of network technologies Firms subscribing to the service for both faults and service requests Ensuring 95% of faults are carried out within the Engineering team Delivering an excellence customer service Adhering to strict Service Level Agreements for fault resolutions and service requests completions Identifying, liaising and managing any escalated faults with 3rd party suppliers for major incidents, network improvements or correction of recurring problems Providing configurations, troubleshooting and best practices to Member Firms Managing support cases to ensure issues are recorded, tracked, resolved, and follow-ups are done in a timely manner.
Providing fault isolation and root cause analysis for technical issues Publishing technical support bulletins and other technical documentation in the Knowledge Base.
Reviewing of technical documentation for training materials, technical marketing collateral, manuals, troubleshooting guides, etc.
Ensuring that Member Firms are kept informed of the progress of incidents/service requests and the internal systems are kept updated regularly Mentoring and technical leadership to 1st/2nd line staff Provide on-call support 24x7 on an as needed basis Maintenance of technical documentation of processes and procedures used throughout normal operations Exercising judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action) Ensuring work is completed in such a way to comply with established compliance and other internal control requirements.
Skills: Significant experience of operating in a network/security engineering role having end to end responsibility including:
Excellent knowledge of Palo Alto security solutions covering Wildfire, Threat Prevention, URL filtering, and Panorama Experience working in complex IP network environments Over 2 years' experience in both firewall troubleshooting and changes for both (Cisco ASA, Palo Alto, Cisco FWSM, Check Point, Juniper, etc.) Knowledge of Routing Protocols incl. BGP & OSPF, OFPS, EIGRP) Good understanding of OSI model, Layer-2, Layer-3 switching (Spanning Tree, Ether-Channels, VLANs etc.) Experience supporting hosting service (DNS, Proxy Filtering, Firewall Changes, Mail Relays, web hosting) Good knowledge of Ethernet/L2 switching Experience of WAN/LAN infrastructure support and SNMP monitoring products Established track record of troubleshooting technical issues through to resolution Ability to work under pressure Troubleshooting, Installs, upgrades, Design and implementation projects Firewall and network management qualifications such as PCNSE, CCNP and CCNA are desirable (or equivalent skill level).
Education: WORKING HOURS:
Monday through Friday, from 9:30am to 5:30pm, plus on-call.
On-Call rotation will be approx every 5 weeks.
On the 5th week, the worker will work normal 40 hour schedule. Then be required to be on-call 24/7 from Monday 9:30am to following Monday at 9:30am
