Role and responsibilities
Create, execute and update test plans, including functional, system level tests and tooling, integration and regression testing for HMI software (SW)
Integrate and automate regression tests into automation infrastructure to enable continuous testing of main and release branches. When possible, work with R&D to deploy automated regression suite for R&D feature branch testing
Validated and verify software and firmware requirements based on product requirements and deliver planned releases on schedule
Review engineering specifications/design documents, provide feedback and plan testing strategy based on the technical requirements
Work on MBI projects test cases and work with software developers to address software defects/issues in a timely manner
Perform software testing and debugging, including tracking and analysing issues to communicate with other stakeholders, focusing on software quality and tracking release schedule timelines
Perform software code and release management by working closely with R&D and DevOps teams
Support SW release documents including Release notes, Installation Guide, and other required documents for planned releases. These documents record specific SW design, requirements, version histories, workflows and tool usage
Develop test automation for regression testing, software emulation and other needs and continue to increase automated test coverage
Review test coverage in existing regression suite, identify improvement needs and fill in test coverage gaps to enhance regression coverage
Assist other support engineers during software troubleshooting and communicate findings to other stakeholders in timely manner
Education and experience
Master’s or higher degree in EE, CS, Information Engineering. Applicants need to have strong software knowledge and will utilize that to work on semiconductor products, especially on products of electron beam
Minimum 5 of Years of relevant experience is preferable
Applicants with direct hands on experience with semiconductor tools, in-depth knowledge in semiconductor processing and hands on experience are required for this position. Applicants are preferred to have background with electron beam and device fabrication experience, and understanding semiconductor flow in the industry.
Applicants are required having experience on customer support/service especially using knowledge of software for semiconductor or electronic devices industry. Applicants need to have knowledge in troubleshooting and maintenance in production tools, direct experience work with customer, and being able to address issues and deliver customers’ needs in order to ensure software quality.
Applicants need to have experience in writing automation testing cases, and performing software deliver or installation.
Applicants need to have hands-on working experience in Linux/Windows testing environment, and proficient in one of programming languages, Jira, Confluence, Bit Bucket etc.
Applicants need to have good understanding of software lifecycle and quality engineering methodology.
Applicants need to have excellent communication skills, written and verbal. The position requires collaboration with other departments / teams, people and excellent communication skills are must.
