Responsibilities
• Develop and execute test plans, including test strategy definition, tester configuration, socket selection, and validation for RF IC packages, including small signal, power amplifier, and mmWave components.
• Perform in-depth characterization of RF devices, measuring parameters such as gain, noise figure, linearity (IIP3, OIP3, OP1dB), EVM, settling time, and spurious response.
• Conduct bias controller tests involving ADC and DAC characterization.
• Execute reliability testing as required.
• Support bench to ATE correlation.
• Analyze test data, identify anomalies, and collaborate with engineering teams to resolve issues.
• Maintain accurate and detailed test documentation.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest RF testing technologies and industry standards.
• Travel to international sites, such as Taiwan, for project support as needed.
• Collaborate closely with design engineering to optimize product testability and manufacturability.
• Drive ATE bring-up, optimization, and production ramp-up, adhering to industry best practices and GRR methodologies.
• Optimization of hander settings for best RF performance
• Analyze test data to identify process improvements, yield enhancement opportunities, and cost reduction strategies.
• Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of technical excellence and innovation.
Qualifications
• Master's or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 5-10 years of hands-on experience in RF testing.
• Proficiency in RF test equipment and software (e.g., network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, power meters, oscilloscopes).
• Strong programming proficiency (C++, Python, Matlab, Perl) and in-depth understanding of ATE testing methodologies.
• Strong understanding of RF circuit theory and measurement techniques.
• In-depth knowledge of RF testing standards and methodologies.
• Experience with 5G RF testing is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in data analysis and statistical process control (SPC).
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
Technical Skills
• Hands-on experience in small signal testing (LNA, LNA+SW) at 8GHz, including parameters like gain, noise figure, two-tone IIP3, OIP3, OP1dB, EVM, and settling time.
• Expertise in noise figure testing with 0.05dB accuracy.
• Experience in small signal pre-driver testing, including OIP3 measurement.
• Proficiency in mmWave LNA testing (gain, NF, OP1dB, OIP3, NF 1-2dB).
• Knowledge of mmWave up-down converter testing (gain, NF, OIPdB, OIP3, spurious response) within the 15-35 GHz frequency range.
• Experience in mmWave beamformer transceiver testing (gain, phase, efuse, gain, NF, OP1dB, OIP3, EVM).
• Expertise in 8GHz power amplifier testing, including bias sequencing, leakage currents, quiescent currents, AM2PM, pulsed-CW with 5% duty cycle in pulse RF, and modulated tests (average gain, efficiency, ACLR).
• RF theory and application, ATE systems, test program development, data analysis, project management, statistical process control (SPC), and yield improvement.
Desired Qualifications
• Experience with reliability testing methods.
• Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, MATLAB) for test automation.
