Mechanical Engineer
We are looking for a mid-level Mechanical Engineer to provide onsite support for ceramic cover defectivity testing in Wilton. The engineer will independently organize and conduct testing activities, with guidance provided for specific testing processes and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Support the development and preparation of test samples, including coupons and related test setups.
Support test definition, sample preparation, testing, and technical documentation.
Conduct defectivity testing in a laboratory environment.
Perform testing activities such as:
Particle counting
Outgassing testing
Inspection and defect evaluation
Other assigned defectivity testing activities
Independently organize and execute testing activities.
Document test results and communicate findings to the project team.
Follow established testing procedures and safety requirements.
Collaborate with onsite teams and seek guidance when working with new or unfamiliar processes.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
Mid-level engineering experience with hands-on testing or laboratory experience.
Ability to independently plan, organize, and execute engineering tests.
Experience with mechanical testing, sample preparation, or laboratory-based activities is preferred.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and documentation skills.
Comfortable working independently while knowing when to seek guidance
