As a Business Developer, you are essential in expanding our client base and identifying new business opportunities within the engineering sector. You build strong relationships with both existing and prospective clients and create strategic partnerships.

Your Responsibilities Include:

Market Analysis & Strategy

  • Identify new opportunities through in-depth analysis of market trends and customer needs

  • Collaborate with management on strategic initiatives for sustainable growth

Client Relations & Sales

  • Build lasting relationships with clients through active networking and trust-building

  • Manage the complete sales cycle - from lead generation to contract closing
    -  Propose tailored service solutions
    -  Collaborate with technical teams to translate client needs into concrete projects

Contracts & Pricing Negotiations

  • Negotiate commercial terms to establish mutually beneficial partnerships
  • Align closely with management to optimize profit margins and growth strategies

Networking & Events

  • Represent us at trade fairs, conferences, and networking events to highlight our expertise and innovation
  • Partner with marketing to increase visibility and brand awareness

Qualifications:
Experience:
At least 5 years of experience in a commercial B2B role

Education:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a commercial, technical, or economic field.

Communication:
You translate strategy into actionable proposals and maintain relationships with a variety of stakeholders. Precision in communication is key - an error in a clause or a misjudged pitch can be costly. Your language skills include:

  • Persuasive in both spoken and written communication

  • Excellent command of Dutch and English; knowledge of German and French is a plus

  • Familiarity with business terminology and cultural nuances, vital when negotiating with international partners

Skills:

  • Strong commercial instinct and persuasive abilities

  • Excellent negotiation skills and goal orientation

  • Strategic thinker with a KPI-driven mindset

  • Natural networker and communicator

  • Affinity with engineering and technical services:
     • Capable of preparing project cost estimates
