Key Responsibilities
• Design and implement Data Lake and AI platforms using Microsoft Azure technologies (Azure Data Lake, Synapse, Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, Cognitive Services, OpenAI).
• Define data architecture frameworks covering ingestion, transformation, storage, governance, and AI model integration.
• Build and optimize end-to-end data pipelines across structured and unstructured data sources.
• Collaborate with data scientists to operationalize AI/ML models for predictive analytics and automation.
• Establish best practices for data security, compliance (GDPR), and performance optimization.
• Drive innovation by integrating Generative AI, Cognitive Services, and Machine Learning capabilities into enterprise applications.
• Mentor teams on modern Microsoft Data & AI tools and architecture standards.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in data architecture with a focus on Microsoft Azure ecosystems.
• Expertise in Azure Data Lake, Synapse Analytics, ADF, Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, and Databricks.
• Proven experience integrating AI/ML pipelines using Azure Machine Learning, Cognitive Services, or Azure OpenAI.
• Strong background in ETL/ELT design, data modeling, and MLOps.
• Proficiency in Python, PySpark, SQL, and REST APIs.
• Excellent communication skills in English; German proficiency is a plus.
Preferred
• Experience implementing AI-powered analytics or LLM-based data solutions.
• Familiarity with RAG architecture, vector databases, or prompt engineering.
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert / Data Engineer Associate preferred.
